A 4-day introspective exploration with Samdhong Rinpoche

September 1-4, 2022

Samdhong Rinpoche, while presenting an award to Dharampalji, paid a profound compliment, stating, "Buddha had an original mind, and Dharampal has an original mind." Rinpocheji highlighted the distinction between the original mind and the ordinary, rational, modern-educated mind.

In line with this thought, SIDH organized a four-day workshop to explore this distinction through open dialogue. The workshop also delved into how modern education shapes our perception and indoctrinates the mind.

Workshop Details:

  • Participants: A select group of 38 like-minded individuals aligned with SIDH’s vision. This was an invite-only workshop, not open to the public.
  • Location: Songtsen Library, Center for Tibetan & Himalayan Studies, Dehradun.
  • Dates: September 1-4, 2022.
  • Format: Pawan Gupta of SIDH served as the moderator and introducer, with Samdhong Rinpoche as the main speaker and facilitator.

Documentation:

The discussions from the four-day workshop are documented in the book ‘मौलिक चित्त एवं साधारण तार्किक चित्त’, featuring lectures by Samdhong Rinpoche. The book is available for purchase through the link below.
